Etisalat switches on LTE in UAE

By flicking up the switch on 700 LTE-enabled base stations UAE telco doyen Etisalat has begun commercial LTE-FDD services in the country. The ‘4G’ mobile service is capable of achieving 100 Mbps connection speed and Etisalat aims to make operational another 300 base stations by year end.
